Well another week has come and gone, its Sunday morning of week 14. My weeks switch over on Tuesdays, which doesn't mean much except for what TV is on for the night. I am still in my winter robe while I hear Caillou in the background. Daniel is sleeping upstairs as I took Addie down here so he can get a few extra Zz's. I have made a fire in the wood burning insert, which is one of the best investments we have made for the house. Last year my parents got us the Nest Thermostat for Christmas so its always my goal to produce heat ourselves rather than the boiler. So far this weekend I have been the Fire Warrior. We have learned the art of fire making, so getting it going in the morning is NBD.
I also have my brain back slightly, I remember with Addison that the first trimester just hurts so bad, is so uncomfortable that my body just focuses on getting thru and everything else goes to the wayside. I started cleaning the house yesterday because two months of no housekeeping (well limited thanks to Dan) means my house is a straight-up disaster area. My poor cordless Dyson has been used to the max!
With the return of my senses I started menu planning again. I like being prepared and especially since its the busy time of my work I have to be extra on top of it. I guess if I am posting here I can post my menu too, at least that will also keep me accountable since I am taking it week by week these days.
One of my bestie friends who I haven't talked to in forever, but also no big deal, because she's one that will act like the time hasn't passed the next time we see each other. Love that. She always used to have Soup Sundays, I feel like thats not what she calls it but you get the point. Soooo, I just looked up some DELICIOUS soup recipes I can't wait to try.
Today I will be making Split Pea Soup, from the Food Networks site. Can't wait. Next Sunday will be Cream of Wild Mushroom, Italian Wedding Soup, the following Sunday we have a prior engagement, and the last Sunday we will have my Black Bean Soup.
The rest of the week will be Halloween Stuffed Peppers, Monstrous Tuna Noodle Casserole, Dead Man over Worms and for Halloween night - Leftovers and Candy!
Doesn't that sound fantastic. Just hoping that all of this doesn't hurt my super sensitive tummy these days.
Yesterday was a get sh*t done day and today is more of the same. Dan helped the neighbor with his driveway, mowed the lawn, I cleaned, entertained Addie, and made a freakin' awesome paleo inspired dish, Butternut Squash Lasagana. Although I added cheese which makes it not-paleo but it was still really good.
On the agenda today we have, pumpkin carving, seed roasting, soup making, Halloween decorating and food prepping. Sounds like a great day!
Onto week 15...

Week 13
First off I haven't taken a weekly picture yet and I mad about that. There were a few cute days but I just didn't do it. Bleh. Work is picking up as its the busy season and with all this talk about Health Care Reform its getting tricky.
The weeks go by in what seems like two days, most of it spend working, taking care of Addie, not cleaning my house and going to bed early. We did go to NJ for Christine and Dougs wedding which was AMAZING. I love weddings! Especially really good friends weddings. Due to emotions I cried almost the whole ceremony. Good thing I had my camera to hide myself. It was just so beautiful and it takes me back to the day I said "I Do". That day is and always will be so special for me because, as corny as this sounds, Daniel is my soul mate. There are days I want to strangle him but thru it all I would not want to go thru this with anyone else. So I cry... and reaffirm my vows to him. I love it. The wedding was on a Friday night so we took off of work to drive down there, stopped at the mall to get a maternity dress for me, headed to my parents and got ready. I lasted until almost 11, which is a big feat.
The rest of the weekend was nice to relax and spend time with my family. Addie got her bangs cut and some clothes at the mall. Thanks to Yaya and Poppie. We went out to dinner all together and had a nice day. Then Sunday rolls around and its back in the car for 5 hours. The car rides are tough being pregnant. With this baby I have had so many stomach issues. Not pregnant I have a stomach of steel, give me that week old milk, bring it on! But now it seems like anything and everything gives me a stomach ache. Really its everything, yogurt, bread, juice, rice. UGH. And the indigestion! I hope these will subside soon as we are rolling out of the first trimester but they don't seem to want to budge.
Other than that, its back to work. We have yet to get any snow up here but the temperature has definitely dropped and we are stocking up the wood supply for the winter. I do love having the fire going in the house and this year I don't worry about Addie touching it!
So back to the grind we go. Fingers crossed I take a picture soon!

I have a secret!
I have to keep these posts private until we are ready to announce to the world that we expecting another baby!
Currentlywe I am 9 weeks pregnant. Yea wowza. Things feel good, I mean as good as they can be for feeling constant sickness and that 9:30pm feels like midnight. The last week or two we have really started to come to the realization that indeed we are having another baby. It is a wonderful thought and we are excited to go to the doctors on Tuesday to hear the little babys heartbeat.
There are a few things we want to do differently this time around. For starters, we are not going to find out the sex of this baby. It will be a secret until he or she decides to enter the world and frankly I am so excited about it. I am thankful to just have been blessed with another baby that I want to enjoy having a baby.
I still have to do our picture announcement deal, hopefully this weekend. But I just have been feeling like garbage and work has been bananas so the desire is there but the get up and go has gone.
This weekend is going to be crazy nutso. Birthday celebrations, wood chopping for the winter, picture taking, computer buying, early nights, Oktoberfesting, football. And then it will be Monday again. Except I am really looking forward to Tuesday at 10. I am hoping for a nice strong heartbeat! I love that there are two hearts beating inside of me right now. Its amazing to think about.
Also if you currently don't follow us on Instagram, its where we post the most pictures cause its easy and sometimes the time to sit and write is few and far between.
