Its funny how your body works. Its amazing at the same time. Since having Addison my body has been thru a tremendous amount of changes. Some good, some not so good but they all have been new experiences and a definite change from my norm. Since stopping breast feeding I have had a change, I have started to sweat at night again. So much so that I woke up the other night thinking I wet the bed! My shirt was soaked the sheets were all wet, I had the nappy head from sweat. Gross I know. Its the truth.
My mental state has been really good lately. I feel 100% back to my normal self. The constant thoughts and anxiousness have gone. I feel calm. Its nice to feel the sense of calm again. I feel like I treasure the moments I am rocking the baby to sleep more and doing less of the hurrying. Granted things have definitely been adjusted since having my little miss. I can't really put the chores off or else I am left with a big mess and no time to clean up big messes on the weekends. But hey that's not a super bad habit to start now and its what comes with having a new addition to the family.
Things at work have been crazy, hiring, training, new systems. Phew. I am tired when I get home. I had a not so great weigh in on Saturday and I can wholeheartedly contribute that to the pizza and alcohol from the parties. So its back on the wagon for me. I cleaned out my closet and took the maternity out, I can see a change things are starting to go down but its slow. I guess it was slow to get so big so it only makes sense for the opposite. I found a dress I bought for Easter last year with the tag still on it because by then I was preggo. Crazy what a year brings!
I am very excited for this Sunday - Mother's Day! My first official one! Last year I celebrated with my love as I was growing our baby! I was thrilled last year and Daniel made it very special for me. This year will be even more special because I get to cuddle my baby and celebrate being her mommy. We are having a "just us" weekend. The last one we had was back in November I posted about it here. Its crazy looking back there. It seems like yesterday.
Addison is 5 months old.
I am planning her half birthday celebration, why not celebrate 6 months!
