Planing Takes Planning

Yesterday was wonderful, my very first mothers day. I spent a good majority of it prepping for the week, so I am sharing - here are the week's meals:

Monday - Spaghetti Squash with Keilbasa
Tuesday - Chicken in a mexican fiesta marinade
Wednesday - Tilapia
Thursday - Crab Cakes
Friday - Home-made pizza

I would get more detailed but I left the paper at home.

Maybe I will even take some pics.

And yes I am hoping to post some pics of my munchkin tonight. The thing is dear husband of mine hijacks the computer at night.

But she is sitting and its CRAZY!

Happy Mother's Day!

Being a mother is learning about strengths you didn't know you had, and dealing with fears you didn't know existed.  ~Linda Wooten

Last year I was growing this precious miracle inside of my body and this year I get to kiss the very little lips of my daughter. I am so overjoyed to have this family of mine. I am so very blessed.

Now knowing the feeling when my heart grows with love for this little baby, its just something I never knew existed. It brings me to a place I have never experienced and its wonderful.

After all that we have been thru and the tremendous heart aches I am so very happy to have this day.

I have so many wonderful pictures to share, I am hoping to make it a priority to upload them all from my camera!

Now that the big parties of the year are mostly over and there are just fun parties here on out I can get back on track.

Happy Mother's Day to all my friends and family who know the feeling of pure love.

Mental State of Mind

Its funny how your body works. Its amazing at the same time. Since having Addison my body has been thru a tremendous amount of changes. Some good, some not so good but they all have been new experiences and a definite change from my norm. Since stopping breast feeding I have had a change, I have started to sweat at night again. So much so that I woke up the other night thinking I wet the bed! My shirt was soaked the sheets were all wet, I had the nappy head from sweat. Gross I know. Its the truth.

My mental state has been really good lately. I feel 100% back to my normal self. The constant thoughts and anxiousness have gone. I feel calm. Its nice to feel the sense of calm again. I feel like I treasure the moments I am rocking the baby to sleep more and doing less of the hurrying. Granted things have definitely been adjusted since having my little miss. I can't really put the chores off or else I am left with a big mess and no time to clean up big messes on the weekends. But hey that's not a super bad habit to start now and its what comes with having a new addition to the family.

Things at work have been crazy, hiring, training, new systems. Phew. I am tired when I get home. I had a not so great weigh in on Saturday and I can wholeheartedly contribute that to the pizza and alcohol from the parties. So its back on the wagon for me. I cleaned out my closet and took the maternity out, I can see a change things are starting to go down but its slow. I guess it was slow to get so big so it only makes sense for the opposite. I found a dress I bought for Easter last year with the tag still on it because by then I was preggo. Crazy what a year brings!

I am very excited for this Sunday - Mother's Day! My first official one! Last year I celebrated with my love as I was growing our baby! I was thrilled last year and Daniel made it very special for me. This year will be even more special because I get to cuddle my baby and celebrate being her mommy. We are having a "just us" weekend. The last one we had was back in November I posted about it here. Its crazy looking back there. It seems like yesterday.

Addison is 5 months old.

I am planning her half birthday celebration, why not celebrate 6 months!

Blessed and fortunate

Well after two weeks of parties I am able to sit and relax, well kind of. It seems like our lives are on fast forward. Work is crazy, life is crazy, my baby is getting so big! Addison has quite the personality, she has slept the last few nights like a rock. Its been amazing! She ate like a champ tonight and sat with us while we ate dinner. It was somewhat magical. She is just such a miracle, she amazes me every day. We sat and talked and she smiled. It was the most perfect family moment. I put the baby to bed, we cleaned up dinner and did a few chores and here I am at not even 9 pm able to tell the world about my perfect little day.

We are very blessed and fortunate.

This weekend was really fun as well, it was our Cinco De Mayo party. The weather was a little chilly but we didn't hype this event too much but it was still a really great time.

I hope to get some pictures up tomorrow, I know its been a little scarce lately. It will be a massive bomb!

Par-tay!

So last week was the pretty and proper party and tomorrow is the super fun times party! Its Cinco De Mayo again and I am really excited. I don't think it will be a super turn out but I don't mind. I will sit out by the fire and drink margaritas all night.

The party last week was really enjoyable. It was the first big party we ever threw for the family and it went over really well. The food was great, the weather was awesome and I am really excited to see the pictures my family photog took. I just love Marisa so much because she has my brain and knows what I want. LOVE LOVE LOVE.

All day Saturday was spent cooking and trying to find someone to clean my house because I was stood up twice! By two separate people which is so shitty! But I found this woman and it was completely meant to be. She told me she wasn't planning on picking up the phone and she had just reposted her CL add a few minutes before I called. The stars had aligned. Thank goodness because I was freaking out.

The baby did well, as well as you could hope for a four and a half month old who was bombarded with people she didn't recognize.

She slept thru the night again last night, I think her tummy was nice and full so it was a restful night for us all. I totally needed it as I have been so tired all week. Ya know those weekends where you have so much to do its just non-stop work it seems like. Yea that was last week. The stressing and preparing! But it was wonderful, the house looked phenomenal, I got lots of complements on my decorating and I prepared all the food which was really nice too. My mantle decorations looked great and I felt good.

The baby slept thru the whole christening which was crazy, she never does that! But she was just so sweet and everyone gave me those loving eyes staring at my little angel dressed in white. The ceremony was wonderful, the priest was great, he really took the time to explain everything and it was so relaxed. Well relaxed for us but unfortunately there was a woman a few rows back from us that must not have been feeling well because they called the paramedics and they showed up during the baptism. Luckily we were not in the way and they were really respectful so it didn't bother anything.

It was a whirlwind weekend and I didn't do a whole lot this past week, I was in bed a few nights before 9:30.

My meds seem to work so well but if I take them too early they make me really sleepy.

Now for another fun filled weekend! That week flew by, it seems to be the norm these days.

Addie is 4 days away from 5 months!
