Week 14

Well another week has come and gone, its Sunday morning of week 14. My weeks switch over on Tuesdays, which doesn't mean much except for what TV is on for the night. I am still in my winter robe while I hear Caillou in the background. Daniel is sleeping upstairs as I took Addie down here so he can get a few extra Zz's. I have made a fire in the wood burning insert, which is one of the best investments we have made for the house. Last year my parents got us the Nest Thermostat for Christmas so its always my goal to produce heat ourselves rather than the boiler. So far this weekend I have been the Fire Warrior. We have learned the art of fire making, so getting it going in the morning is NBD.

I also have my brain back slightly, I remember with Addison that the first trimester just hurts so bad, is so uncomfortable that my body just focuses on getting thru and everything else goes to the wayside. I started cleaning the house yesterday because two months of no housekeeping (well limited thanks to Dan) means my house is a straight-up disaster area. My poor cordless Dyson has been used to the max!

With the return of my senses I started menu planning again. I like being prepared and especially since its the busy time of my work I have to be extra on top of it. I guess if I am posting here I can post my menu too, at least that will also keep me accountable since I am taking it week by week these days.

One of my bestie friends who I haven't talked to in forever, but also no big deal, because she's one that will act like the time hasn't passed the next time we see each other. Love that. She always used to have Soup Sundays, I feel like thats not what she calls it but you get the point. Soooo, I just looked up some DELICIOUS soup recipes I can't wait to try.

Today I will be making Split Pea Soup, from the Food Networks site. Can't wait. Next Sunday will be Cream of Wild Mushroom, Italian Wedding Soup, the following Sunday we have a prior engagement, and the last Sunday we will have my Black Bean Soup.

The rest of the week will be Halloween Stuffed Peppers, Monstrous Tuna Noodle Casserole, Dead Man over Worms and for Halloween night - Leftovers and Candy!

Doesn't that sound fantastic. Just hoping that all of this doesn't hurt my super sensitive tummy these days.

Yesterday was a get sh*t done day and today is more of the same. Dan helped the neighbor with his driveway, mowed the lawn, I cleaned, entertained Addie, and made a freakin' awesome paleo inspired dish, Butternut Squash Lasagana. Although I added cheese which makes it not-paleo but it was still really good.

On the agenda today we have, pumpkin carving, seed roasting, soup making, Halloween decorating and food prepping. Sounds like a great day!

Onto week 15...
