Phone Tree

Quick post -

As I keep getting bigger and everyone keeps wanting to know when she gets here I am putting together a phone tree. Pretty much Dan will call the parents and God parents and friends and family will take care of the rest.

If you are intersted in being part of it or want to be on it, let me know. Of course Dan will be updating Facebook as well so if you want to know but don't want a call keep an eye out there.

Hopefully with our little game of telephone "She's in Labor" doesn't turn into "Cheese and taters".

Photo Dump

So where have I been the last few weeks... living this crazy roller coaster of a life I have. We were blessed to have two very large families so the last few weekends have been spent celebrating the little life growing in my belly!

Stella is getting ready for the babies arrival as well, it seems that whenever the door is left open this is where we find her.

We had the Keiffer family shower two weeks ago which was so nice and was really a great start to our baby collection.

What Daniel Wanted to stimulate our future engineers brain.

Last week we had our Cure family shower and it was amazing. The future grandma put her heart and soul into this party and it showed. It was so wonderful.

The crew having some cocktails outside, nice face Matt!
Awww loves!
I love this picture!
Mrs. Conrad, me, mom, Mrs. Gasper and my sister - These are teacher friends and Mrs. Conrad
was my pre-k teacher!

The game about us! It was hilarious!

The topper of my cake, it was AMAZING!

The best moment of the day, my grandpa playing us a song.

OK thats it for now. I just spent two hours on the computer looking for deals for the baby, found some clearance stuff and bought the hanger things for her closet. You can find the deals you just have to sit here and look. More on that later.

Where the princess will rest her head

First thing - have you noticed the ticker at the top ^ - 60 days!!!

Our nursery is starting to come together, I can't say it enough its so surreal and I can't wrap my mind around it.

These look like bad pictures but use your imagination a little people.

This is the view from the hallway. We moved the carpet and added some furniture.

This is the left side of the crib where our chair will reside instead of the boxes and where the bookshelves will be.

We painted the radiator silver and I have to work on the window treatments still. But the dresser and the changing table will be on this wall.
This is the view from the crib out the door. The mirrored piece is staying and the hutch thing is a new addition.

We are looking good. Thanks to Emily and Christina for helping at 10pm on a Friday.
Really its just getting the little things ready now, the shelves will be hung when we get our recliner. I know we will be getting tons of stuff from the shower(s) so I wanted to get the furniture in place so we can have a better handle on what to do with the extra stuff. Our house is a perfect starter home with limited space so I want to make sure we use it the best way possible.

My first shower is this SUNDAY! I don't think I have told everyone enough how excited I am. We went and bought two new dresses for me to feel extra pretty in this weekend and next. I AM SO EXCITED! I can't wait to play with all her stuff and get her room all ready!

Hello Baby.

Quick post then I am out of here (work that is) We got to see our little angel this morning again and I was so excited. She is perfect in every way and I can't wait for her to get here. She is 4.5 pounds by now and in the 90th percentile, or something close to there. So she is growing just as we would like. AHH Love.

As for the GD - Gestational Diabetes for my peeps who don't know the slang. It is going well, I have had one day (after eating cereal and milk for breakfast) that I was over by 2 points and every other day has been right where it needs to be. So all good on that front, I have been really good about remembering to do it and making sure I am not eating lots of sugar. So Yea!

This weekend was the Bills game, pics to come. It was great, Hubs let loose and I drove home. OUR FIRST SHOWER IS SUNDAY! AHH. YEA. YES. SO EXCITED.

We also met with our first potential babysitter today, I cried. Yea it sucked. I felt like a big cry baby. More to come on that too. This first one was very nice, heart of gold, adopted 6 kids! Wow. Not sure if its a fit just yet but will keep you all posted.

30 Weeks!

So this week was 30 weeks! Holy cow, how did that happen. I AM SO EXCITED! She is going to be here so soon and I can't wait to meet her and hold her. I know she is going to look so beautiful and be the perfect combination of the two of us. I am just so excited.

We are heading to the Bills game tomorrow and I am the DD driving everyone home. No biggie though, at least everyone can have a good time and be safe.

This week has brought lots of tired nights, I am really feeling pregnant lately. My body is just not my own anymore and it is really apparent. I did sleep like a rock last night, I don't even think I turned once but we did not get to sleep the night before because my dad came into town late to drop off furniture. Thanks Dad.

Last night we ate at a BBQ place around here and I got the catfish, nice healthy choice with sweet potato fries and mashed potatoes. I was the lucky winner of a piece of plastic in my mashed potatoes. It really looked like a candy wrapper but they took my meal and made me a new one which did not come out till everyone else was done. Hmm. But free meal. :)

Today Hubs is driving to Toronto for wheels for his car, yup, and he thought my dad was crazy for driving furniture up here. Whatever I don't really care. I am going to partially clean the house and nap and watch tv till he gets here. The Szymanskis should be here around 4 and it will be so nice to see them again. I heart them.

I saw the diabetes nurse on Friday, I have my own meter and have to test my blood four times a day. I feel like an old person. So far no reading has been over so thats good but I just started yesterday so we will see.

ALSO MY FIRST BABY SHOWER IS NEXT WEEK!!!!!!!!!!! AHHHH. I really don't think anyone knows how FREAKIN EXCITED I AM!!! Hopefully the caps give you some hint. It is the Keiffer family shower and I am beyond excited. I can't wait. But I can, because this week is going to rock. Tomorrow Bills game, Monday Ultrasound and meet with potential baby sitter, Wednesday meet with another potential babysitter, Friday Drs apt, then SUNDAY FUNDAY BABY SHOWER!!

The days are going quickly because we are so busy and I lack energy so I go to sleep around 9. But I don't care I am so excited, so blessed and so in love with my family.

I also need to think about Maternity pictures. Maybe I know a good photographer out there??

29 Weeks and Camping

I am smuggling a pumpkin. But aww we look so cute!

So yes I have been bad at updating you all. There have been lots of fun things happening at our house lately. My belly is still growing nice and big and baby is moving around all the time. We are in week 29 and the big week 3-0 is tomorrow. But I will wait to post about the excitement and our countdown.

So no new news in the babies room, I haven't touched it really. I have to figure out the dresser situation and for now her stuff is accumulating downstairs in the bassinet. Which btw is filling up and its so surreal!

We received our first shower gift this week, its came all the way from California! My little Sophie was a nice little auntie and bought Addi her first pillow pet and the cutest bubble maker for the bath. Now short story about the pillow pet, Dan loves the Mets (vom) I love the yankees (because they are the best) and when we were making the registry Daniel put a mets pillow pet on there and told me not to take it off. So I didn't and I really didn't think it would get purchased but Low and Behold! it was the first gift we received off the registry. HA. Really. Yes Really. We are now the proud owners of a Mets pillow pet. (vom) But thank you Sophie!!! We love you.

This week actually brought another baby gift and this was completely a surprise for us. We have a friend JJ who lives in the city and we both went to college with. He would drop me off in NJ sometimes when he was going home and the boys were in the fraternity together. Now we don't see each other often, but we keep in touch and I stalk of facebook. The usual. But he called up Dan a few days ago said he was coming into town and had a gift for the baby, he stopped over last night and had two HUGE gifts. I seriously had no idea what to expect, one was for me and one was for Dan. I opened mine first and was beyond thrilled, JJ bought us our carseats!!! I have never been so excited before about car seats but I am, it was such a nice gift and he even had a nice thought behind it. I am so over the moon about it. We opened them last night and played around with them, we must have said a hundred times that our little peanut will be in here soon. Its perfect!

The house is becoming baby-ized. It still sometimes doesn't feel real.

I went for my 7 month check up this past week, things are good. I failed two of the three hours in the glucose test so they are deeming me with Gestational Diabetes. Really its not a huge deal, I have to break up with carbs and not eat sugar. Primarily the carbs will be harder at this juncture. But eh, if thats the worst of it. The doctor also did a quick measurement and internal exam, she says I am measuring about 2 weeks ahead of schedule. (I have read online that its normal to be plus or minus two) but she wants to send me for an ultrasound to check on the baby and make sure we are right on target. You know what I say about that, HELL YES! We get to see our baby girl again and I already met my deductible for my health insurance so its all FREE from here on out. Yes FREE, FREE, FREE. I am probably going to hit up the acupuncturist a time or two before the end of the year and I am going to the dermatologist too. Might as well its all FREE.

We went camping this past weekend and it was a great time with our friends. We met halfway-ish at this campsite near Binghamton which was really exactly what we were looking for. Woods camping. Stella loved it, she wore herself out, for two days she was the most dead dog I have ever seen. She just slept for two days straight. I wasn't drinking obvi but I still enjoyed myself, I ate a bunch of crap and we carved pumpkins and just enjoyed being together.
