Excited for Christmas!

I cannot begin to tell you how excited I am for Christmas this year. I don't think I have been this excited for Christmas in year, many years. There is something about the anticipation, the fact that Addison has very little idea of what she will find come Christmas morning. We have talked about Santa, we even visited Santa. She had no interest in sitting on his lap but she surely let us know she would like Tow Mater for Christmas. I told her she could ask Santa for one gift and that was her choice.

I have been trying not to threaten with Santa much. Its been a hard two weeks for her. There may be teeth coming in but she has been grumpy and whining a lot. She had a little sickness and had thrown up for the first time. It scared her and me. I didn't care at all about being covered in her vomit but more so I just wanted to take her hurt away. Since then she has been waking up crying, having crazy tantrums at night and has not been her sweet self.

- Things have since subsided in that department. She was still having some tantrums at night but we seem to be getting away from that. Thank goodness.

I can only imagine how much more exciting Christmas will be with two little angels next year and Addison having some sort of memory and more understanding.

Thanksgiving 2013

My family is my family. I can't sum it up into one word because I need more than one to explain. We are loud, we love hard and we know how to party.

Each year my aunt and uncle in Maine graciously host the whole family. Yep, all of us. I believe there were 32 for dinner this year and a good chunk of us stay over for multiple nights enjoying each others company and generally hanging out. Its bittersweet because my family only gets to see some of these beloved people once a year. We do however really make up for it but being present and enjoying ourselves.

You will see in the pictures the times when most of the cousins are hanging out watching tv and when the party starts. These are memories we will all cherish forever and I am so thankful that everyone makes an effort to attend.

My family is special in so many ways. I recorded the speech the Jeff made before dinner, the link is here.

Enjoy friends and family from all over!
